Pour or spray a little water onto the floral sponge every 1-2 days so it never dries out completely; marigolds and ferns drink steadily, especially in warm rooms. Keep the basket away from direct sunlight, heaters and ceiling fans, and pick out any marigold heads that brown so the rest stay bright.
